Description

This is a digital painting done for the artist who caught a kiriban on my DA account. Tidus is my favorite FFX character, so I was pretty happy to have another try at painting him.

This took approximately ten hours, on Photoshop 7.

Very nice work on the character render. My only suggestion would be to work on the clouds a bit. If you make the cloudslarger at the top of the painting and smaller as they get closer to the horizon line it willgive the painting better depth. Just my opinion for what it's worth. +7/8

His skin is too orange, otherwise colors are fine. And the beginnig of the blade mixes up somehow with the cloud behind the figure.

Now being an avid fan of the Final Fantasy series (FFVII & FFX being my personal favorites which I devoted too many hours), I find this a wonderful depiction of Tidus. I love the colors and your use of lighting. The shadows, mid-tones and soft tones are executed well. He almost pops out of the scene. Well done.

However, I have a couple critiques.

1. His right forearm seems a bit large as compared to the rest of his body.
2. The background is too secluded, almost muted. It seems as if it was an after thought. It just needs a few more elements to balance it so the painting flows evenly.

Overall, this is a great piece and I would definately hang it on a wall.
